The room was spacious and had a modern walk-in shower. The flat-screen TV and kettle were handy. I enjoyed the comfortable bed and free toiletries. Wi-Fi worked great too. Breakfast was tasty with quality sausage and bacon. Location is perfect, just a short walk to the cathedral. The atmosphere felt warm and inviting overall.

While the atmosphere in the pub is inviting, the dining experience can suffer from minor gaffes like delayed service, lack of side plates for toast, and missing condiments.

Loved how cozy and quirky this old building feels! The huge walk-in shower was a total highlight—so refreshing after a day exploring. Plus, the location lets you pop over to the cathedral easily.

Disappointment over lack of character in the room despite expectations!!! Cleanliness could improve. toothbrush glass was dirty. Soundproofing is needed as noise from adjacent areas was noticeable!!!

The bed in our double room provided an exceptional level of comfort making sleep easy but the pillows could have been a bit more supportive. The room was well-stocked with tea, coffee, and biscuits which showed attention to detail and we particularly appreciated having shampoo and conditioner available for our convenience.

my recent stay in wells was fantastic. the modern room had a great shower, and i loved the central location, perfect for exploring. the pub food was surprisingly good, especially the live music that made the first night enjoyable.

The location is definitely a plus, just a short walk from the market and beautiful cathedral. The room was clean and had a cozy atmosphere, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring Wells. the noise from the bar was quite intrusive at night, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The shower was nice and spacious but could use some extra mats for safety.

This place suits me perfectly! It offers great wi-fi, a cozy bar, and electric kettles in the room. The staff even helped me with taxi tips during my first stay. I’ll definitely come back for a city break!

We booked out the entire property for a work trip, the room was spacious and much more than I expected in a budget stay, perfect for a family. The staff’s friendly smiles and service made me feel comfortable. it was like they truly cared about us.

Wasn't cheap but still acceptable for what you get.

Had an awesome night right in the heart of Wells! Parking's a bit far but safe. Our room was spacious with comfy beds, and we got a great breakfast the next day (those sausages! ). Monica was super friendly too. Just had a bit of noise from downstairs, but it didn’t ruin our stay at all.

During my stay, I loved how close I was to Wells Cathedral and the bustling Wells Market Place, making every city stroll enjoyable and convenient. plus, I appreciated the friendly atmosphere of the pub downstairs, where I had some great meals without venturing far.
